Course Director - Automotive Technologies
1 FTE (37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year)
£38,916 per annum
Our automotive department is very well equipped to meet the demands of local employers and we are seeking a passionate individual to manage the team and support the department to continue to improve. To be responsible for Teaching and Learning, in support of the Head of Faculty and for providing excellent support to students, delivering engaging and well-planned lessons across the Automotive Department. To teach across levels 2 and 3, to support students to achieve and meet the expectations of teaching within the FE sector.
The successful candidate must have recent management experience in FE, be qualified to teach automotive technologies and have automotive industry experience. You must have the drive, determination and desire to make a difference to young people’s lives, through education, along with the knowledge, skills and experience to lead and manage an educational team.
Ideal candidates will have a level 3 Automotive Technologies qualification, as a minimum. A level 4 qualification in automotive technologies or Master Technician status would be an advantage. A teaching qualification is essential. An accredited vocational assessor and internal verifier qualification is desirable.
