Wycliffe College is seeking to appoint an engaging and inspiring Head of Business and Economics to join and lead a talented department during the next exciting stage of the school’s development.
If you are passionate about Business and Economics and committed to sharing that enthusiasm with inquisitive, intellectually curious young people, we would be delighted to hear from you.
We are seeking someone who shares our vision and can inspire our pupils across both disciplines, bringing Business and Economics to life through engaging, relevant and thought-provoking teaching. The successful candidate will build pupils’ confidence, nurture a genuine and lasting interest in the subjects, and empower them with the knowledge and skills needed for further study and real-world application.
We welcome interest from across all sectors and backgrounds. Support is available for teachers for whom this may be their first Middle Leadership position, as well as those aspiring to Senior Leadership. Wycliffe values diversity and seeks to be an inclusive community; what matters most are your expertise in Business and Economics, your passion for the subjects, and your ambition for pupils’ success. You will be supported in your career by Wycliffe’s highly-regarded Teaching Philosophy which is based on evidence-informed practice, staff development and a passion for teaching and learning.
The College is justifiably proud of its outstanding co-curricular and pastoral provision and candidates will be expected to discuss these areas at interview and explain how they will play a full part in them. There may be the opportunity to combine this role with a residential responsibility on-site should it be of interest and the right candidate is found.
If you share our vision, want to work in an outstanding environment with a supportive Common Room, and relish the challenge of teaching the full range of ability levels, why not join us in our beautiful Gloucestershire home?
