The Opportunity
Haberdashers’ Monmouth School is seeking to appoint a full time, permanent Teacher of Mathematics from September 2026.
The successful applicant will be a well qualified, highly motivated, and innovative graduate, possessing excellent subject knowledge and the ability to confidently teach across Key Stages 4 and 5.

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver high quality Mathematics teaching across key stages 4 and 5, ensuring students are supported to achieve their full potential and students are well prepared for external examinations.
• Plan and deliver engaging, challenging lessons that stretch all learners and contribute to the development of departmental schemes of work and resources.
• Assess, track and report on student progress, providing clear feedback to pupils, parents and colleagues to support academic development.
• Contribute to a rich programme of extra curricular and departmental activities that enhance learning within the subject area.
• Uphold the school’s ethos and responsibilities, including safeguarding, and maintaining high standards of behaviour.
About You
You will be an excellent classroom practitioner with strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for mathematics, bringing enthusiasm and inspiration to every lesson. Confident in your classroom management and creative in your approach, you combine energy with high professional standards. You are highly motivated, collaborative, and adaptable, with excellent communication skills, a warm pastoral instinct and a commitment to upholding the school’s safeguarding responsibilities.
