Job Title: Admissions Administrator

Scale/Scale Point: Grade 4 entry level

Responsible to: Admissions Manager

The Post

We are looking to recruit an experienced individual to provide efficient and effective admissions and enrolment administration to The Henley College. As part of the team you will take ownership of your allocated tasks to support students and staff by providing a first-class high-quality experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • To work as part of the Admissions team processing applications for full-time courses.
  • To provide a first point of contact for enquiries relating to applications for full-time courses and to give appropriate information, advice and guidance
  • To assist the Admissions Manager with the process of making offers, maintaining records of responses, regularly updating the manager on responses received and initiating appropriate follow up to responses
  • To participate in the College Enrolment and Advisory Service. This will include work outside normal working hours.
  • To attend College Information Events and Tours (including external recruitment events). This will involve occasional evening and weekend work. Also attending numerous external recruitment events
  • Assist with the Travel and Bursaries administration
  • To participate in the relief Reception rota when required to ensure that Reception is adequately staffed in the absence of a receptionist.

General Responsibilities

  • To identify personal and professional staff development needs to meet the college’s strategic and operational plan
  • To ensure continuous professional development (CPD) requirements as specified by the College and that may be identified during college processes, for example Developmental reviews
  • To Participate in the college appraisal scheme
  • To be Responsible for ensuring that the duties and responsibilities detailed in the college Health and Safety Policy are adhered to and carried out.
  • To maintain awareness of the requirements of the college health and safety policy
  • To read and apply the College Safeguarding and Prevent procedures and to ensure that the duties and responsibilities detailed in the College Safeguarding Policy and Prevent Duty Policy are adhered to and carried out. 
  • To read the College Single Equality Scheme and to act in accordance with statutory obligations under the equality duties and in compliance with current Equality and Diversity legislation. 
  • To ensure adherence to the College Data Protection Policy. 
  • To work to the College quality standards and systems within the context of the College quality systems. 
  • To undertake such other duties and responsibilities as are appropriate to this level of post, including any reasonable request made by Head of Faculty or Senior Leadership Team.
