Assistant Estates & Compliance Manager

Our school estates team is growing! We would like to appoint another Assistant Estates and Compliance Manager to join our Central Estates Team.

The postholder will be joining our Team, together, the Team will make a major contribution to the overall Estates strategic aims, including being the supporting central point for Health & Safety, Compliance, Estates projects, Grounds, Asbestos Management, Contractors and procurement of other managed contracts within the Trust. Sustainability is a key aspect of our strategic plan and therefore runs through all aspects of projects, procurement and strategic thinking.

You will be expected to support the establishment and review of systems and working practices that ensure compliance with all relevant statutory regulations and recognised best practice are aligned across the Trust. A competent project or contract manager with facilities management experience and or qualifications is desirable, as is experience of CAD software. You will be able to manage a varied and demanding workload, with outstanding organisational skills and be able to manage your own administration and communicate those systems with others. The role will have oversight of projects up to a value of £50,000 and support the Head of Estates & Compliance with projects over £50,000.

You will have excellent inter-personal and organisational skills with high personal standards with the ability to lead, delegate and work well under pressure. You will have a working knowledge of applying the (Construction Design and Management) Regulations 2015 and Understanding of the legal and financial aspects of estate management, with the ability to deliver significant and sustained cost control without detriment to overall quality of service being provided. You will deputise for the Head of Estates & Compliance. The postholder will be required to visit the academies on a regular basis, in order that the postholder can build relationships with Operations Managers and Facilities Managers/Teams in our schools.
