Full time • Permanent
Start date: September 2023
We are looking to appoint a dynamic, innovative and forward-thinking Assistant Headteacher to join the Senior Leadership Team at Kingsbury Green Academy.
Kingsbury Green Academy, which is part of the successful Ascend Learning Trust, opened its doors for the first time on the 5th of September 2019. In April 2022, Ofsted judged Kingsbury Green Academy as ‘Good’ in every inspection category. We are ambitious to build on this judgement by being recognised as an ‘Outstanding’ school in every sense of the word.
This is an entirely new role, brought about by the need to increase leadership capacity as a result of the continuing expansion of the school. The purpose of this role is to raise attendance across the school and develop a culture for learning in its broadest sense. Specific responsibilities will be finalised once the successful candidate is appointed, although being able to demonstrate how you have had an impact on the lives of young people e.g. through improving attendance, raising academic performance or through cultural enrichment, will place your application in a strong position.
Most important of all, is that you have the kind of positive mindset that believes anything is possible and that you are someone who is:
- An outstanding practitioner.
- An effective and innovative leader with a demonstrable track record of impact and success.
- Raises achievement through modelling the highest of expectations across all areas of the school.
- Passionate about inclusive education and the rights of all children to succeed.
- Energetic, enthusiastic and full of new ideas
- Ambitious and keen to play a significant role in the future development of Kingsbury Green Academy.
- Supportive of the development of the Trust and ready to contribute to the wider Trust leadership.
This is a unique opportunity to join an expanding and successful Multi Academy Trust with big ambitions.
