Caretaker
1 FTE (37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year)
£21,420 per annum, rising to £22,520 per annum August 2022
BCoT is looking to recruit an enthusiastic, dedicated and friendly person who is proactive and hardworking to join our team. You will be working as part of the Estates Site Team to ensure a safe, secure and accessible site which meets the needs of learners, staff and visitors, providing excellent customer service at all times.
Working within Estates you will be responsible for testing and servicing all safety equipment at the college and will be required to keep accurate records to ensure the college is compliant. Experience of general maintenance work, to include plumbing and electrical is required.
Experience of working in a caretaking role would be advantageous, but not essential. Enthusiasm, flexibility, motivation and team is essential to this role. In this role, the successful candidate will be assisting with College events, setups and supporting the college through keeping the site in excellent condition.
Working in the Estates team, you will carry out varied tasks, from moving furniture and heavy items and basic maintenance. You will also be testing equipment and PAT testing and maintaining relevant records (training will be provided). Experience of general maintenance work, to include plumbing and electrical is required.
Certain aspects of the role will be physically demanding, keeping you on your feet and will involve lifting and carrying.
