Creative Arts Technician

Reporting to the Learning Area Manager (Creative Arts) you will have a proven interest in the Visual Arts and may be required to work within a range of Creative Arts disciplines including Performing Arts, Production Arts and Creative Media.

You will provide technical assistance and support in the teaching of a range of Creative Arts courses and be required to assist with a wide range of duties including setting up classes, assisting with classroom demonstrations, stock inventories, ordering consumables and distribution. The work includes supporting and supervising students in developing their practical skills within Creative Arts. The successful candidate will be highly practical with the ability to use tools to support carpentry, basic repairs and decoration.

You will be educated to Level 3 standard and have a good working knowledge of health and safety, COSHH, manual handling and working at height regulations. The ability to work professionally and to deadlines, as well as to operate flexibly within the changing needs of the College are essential to this role.
