We are seeking to appoint an organised and enthusiastic technician to join our growing team within Design and Technology.

We are looking for a technician who can confidently organise the provision of practical support for the relevant curriculum area (i.e. Design Technology /3D design and Graphic Design  ) for staff and students at all key stages in the school/college. We would like our new colleague to assist the respective head/s of department in securing an environment in which students can safely pursue investigative practical work.

We are passionate and committed to ensuring our curriculum is engaging and inspiring, working towards high levels of creativity and innovation in our teaching and learning across the school. Our ultimate aim is to provide students with access to a broad range of experiences and challenges so that every student reaches their full potential. Are you ready to make a difference?!

About You

  • Minimum of GCSE Grade C in Maths and English
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Competent use of ICT
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation as it relates to the work of the school.
  • Ability to work in a food and textiles environment to support learning
  • Able to withstand: Long Periods of sitting or standing. Bending and stretching and using a kick stool for display work.
  • Detailed knowledge of safe working practices in relation to the handling and usage of hazardous equipment and tools.
  • Committed to the safeguarding of students and young people
