Salary: £31,943 - £37,490 per annum (including London Weighting Allowance)

Over the past twelve months, UCG have reviewed its leadership and management to better reflect our aspirations around the world of work by creating a series of Career Clusters and a Development & Innovation area led by 8 Assistant Principals, who were appointed at the beginning of the last academic year. We are now looking to invest further in our EDI strategy and recruit an EDI Coordinator to manage the Equality and Diversity Action Plan and initiatives across UCG.
About the role
The EDI Coordinator will build relationships across UCG and promote change and commitment to Equality issues and initiatives amongst staff and students. The successful candidate will lead the initiatives and activities of the Equality and Diversity Action Plans and will lead the work of the EDI focus group to integrate practices into governance, workplace and student practices that enhance EDI throughout UCG.
The EDI Coordinator will support the Director of People and Communications leading on the design and deliver diversity presentations, workshops, briefing and inductions materials. The successful candidate will also work closely to support the Director of People and Communications to ensure under-represented groups in the workforce and student population are heard and will maintain the UCG diversity calendar of events and initiatives to ensure Equal Opportunities visibility is promoted for all.
The EDI Coordinator will;
- Be educated to degree level or equivalent with relevant work experience including practical knowledge of work methods and processes
- Have the ability to influence and partner with leaders to assist in the maintenance of the EDI Action Plans
- Have evidence of ability to work across professional and organisational boundaries and the ability to influence and partner with leaders to assist in the maintenance of the EDI Action Plans
- Have experience of project management with the ability to monitor and complete work adhering to deadlines
- Have strong external communication skills and high levels of stakeholder and staff engagement skills
