Electric Vehicle Centre Manager

37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

(Monday – Thursday 08:30 – 5pm, Friday 08:30 – 4.30pm)

£40,000 per annum + bonus scheme

The role

The main purpose of the role is to run Basingstoke College of Technology’s new Electric Vehicle Centre. This will include two aspects; the Electrical vehicle and Hybrid vehicle maintenance knowledge and Business Development experience. As manager of the centre you will be expected to develop contacts, increase training session numbers, delivering training and enhance BCoT students learning.

This is an inspiring new venture for BCoT and equally new exciting role will involve proactively managing the planning, design, implementation and delivery of training in the centre. With the support of other departments the EV Centre manager will manage the marketing and advertising for courses and services available.

The successful candidate will:

• Have strong project management, communications and influencing skills

• Electric Vehicle Qualification Level 3 and Level 4 Teaching Qualification

• Have experience in the maintenance of Electric and Hybrid vehicles

• Be self-motivated, able to develop, motivate and inspire teams as well as have an ambition to make a difference within the business

Electric Vehicle Centre

The specialist needs of electric vehicle skills training is a national and local priority for the UK government. The overarching aim of this Centre is to develop a sustainable and scalable Electric Vehicle & Hybrid Technology Training Centre at BCoT, to meet future changes in automotive and electrification and connectivity.

The Electronic Vehicle & Hybrid Technology Training Centre will become known as the Centre of Excellence for training in electric and hybrid vehicles and related technologies, such as; charging points, vehicle security and connectivity. Utilising state of the art learning technologies and digitalised training recourses.
