Hours: 21 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity for an individual who has a passion for helping learners improve their employability skills. You will play a valuable part in maximising opportunities for learners to meet and work with local employers. You will build and develop a sustainable working relationships with employers and support our learners in finding work experience and during their placement.

In this role, you will:

• Engage with employers on behalf of a Faculty Team, maintaining a network of relevant employer contacts to support industry placements, study programmes, events and activities for that team.

• Co-ordinate and monitor a caseload of industry placements and work experience in support of Faculty teams.

• Support the Employability & Community Learning Manager, colleagues, external agencies and employers to develop and boost cross-college industry placement, work experience and employability initiatives

Qualifications and experience required:

• Minimum Level 2 in Maths and English (or equivalent)

• Up to date working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook

• A proven track-record of engaging and maintaining relationships with employers or external organisations in a similar or relevant context

• High level of interpersonal skills with an effective, professional and flexible style to ensure credibility with all level of staff and external stakeholders
