Claremont Fan Court School is an independent day school for pupils aged from 2½ to 18 years. The school is set in 99 acres of historic landscaped grounds of the Claremont Estate in Esher, Surrey.

We are expanding our team and seeking to appoint an additional facilities assistant to work as part of the in-house team responsible for the safe upkeep and running of the school’s facilities.

Working throughout the year, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. A flexible approach to hours is available with typical pattern likely to be 9.30am to 6.00pm. Key responsibilities of the role include general repairs and maintenance, site security, parking management, event logistics and portering.

The successful applicant will be a strong team member and equally capable of working on their own. A good standard of DIY skills to undertake general maintenance and repairs is essential; skilled or semi-skilled trade-qualified would be welcome. Experience of working in a school environment would be an advantage but is not essential. A strong customer service ethic is key.

We offer a competitive salary and all the benefits of working in a thriving independent school including generous contributory pension, life assurance and discounted school fees, free lunches during term time, onsite parking and a cycle to work scheme.

Further details and how to apply can be found under the ‘working at Claremont’ link on our website.

Closing date: Sunday 19 February 2023

Interviews will be held w/c 20 February 2023

Please note that we reserve the right to conduct interviews prior to the closing date. Therefore, early applications are encouraged.
