Are you a specialist practitioner with a proven track record of supporting and assessing learners? Do you have a comprehensive understanding of a wide range of LDD needs?

We are seeking to appoint a Learning Difficulties and/or Disabilities Manager who would be responsible for managing and supporting the implementation of a robust Additional Learning Support strategy to ensure that the curriculum and/or workplace is accessible for all learners with LDD.

The successful candidate will hold a relevant degree or professional qualification in the field of Inclusive Practice, Learning Support, SEND or LDD and they will either hold, or be willing to work towards a Level 7 qualification in SEND.

The Weston College Group are the education provider at 9 prisons across the South West of England, run by the Ministry of Justice and one prison in Northamptonshire, which is a private prison run by G4S.

The successful applicant for this role will work across both the Lot 4 group of prisons (HMP Channings Wood, HMP Exeter, HMP Dartmoor and HMP Guys Marsh) and the private prison estate (HMP Five Wells).

You will work closely with the existing LDD Manager, who carries out the role across the Lot 1 prison group in the South West, to ensure a consistent approach throughout all prisons.

This position is home based but will require the successful candidate to travel to the prisons listed above to work with the Managers and Teaching staff to implement, monitor and standardise good practice, as well as carrying out access arrangements for referred learners.
