We are an established provider of good quality College and School Links courses for young people and adults with learning difficulties and emotional/behavioural difficulties. Brooklands College is committed to supporting learners with a wide range of needs including dyslexia, autism and physical and sensory needs. We are looking for an LSA to provide support to learner/s for the duration of their course.
You must have a positive attitude towards disability and learning difficulties and sensitivity towards individual needs and be willing to undergo training as required. An understanding of the needs of learners with learning difficulties and disabilities is essential and previous classroom-based experience would be an advantage.
You should be a good communicator and have empathy for the learners. Good literacy, numeracy and ICT skills are essential and an understanding of the needs of learners with learning difficulties and disabilities. Previous classroom-based experience would be an advantage.
We are looking for individuals who can work between the hours of 8.45am - 5.30pm.
Working as part of a team of LSAs, you will be required to support learners in class, 1:1 or in a small group. You will be expected to support learners working at a range of levels from Entry to L3 across all curriculum areas, and so a flexible approach is essential.
