We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic person to work in KS2 supporting children both in the classroom and interventions. Although not essential, the successful candidate will preferably have experience of working within a school setting, nurturing and supporting children with special educational needs. We are looking for someone with knowledge and understanding of strategies to support children in making maximum progress with their language, academic, social and emotional learning in a caring and supportive environment. The role will involve following the direction of the class teacher and SENCO. St Joseph’s is a very welcoming primary school with an emphasis on working as a team.
A good level of written and spoken English and maths is essential.
The hours are Monday to Wednesday 8.30am to 3.25pm.
This post is a permanent contract, term time only as 19.25 hours per week. The salary range (FTE) is £19,313 - 20,257 pa (pro rata); the actual salary range is £8,793 - 9,223 pa.
