Sessional College Counsellor

Required for 10 hours per week (job share considered)

From £34.32 (£28.27 Basic + £6.05 Holiday pay)

To

£40.55 per hour (£33.40 Basic + £7.15 holiday pay)

We are recruiting for a college counsellor on a sessional basis for 10 hours a week to join our busy college counselling service. You will work alongside other counselling professionals in your work which will include providing one-to-one sessions, assessing cases and promoting the service. You will be based mainly at the Basingstoke campus but may occasionally be asked to see clients at the Future Skills Centre, Bordon or remotely via telephone/google meets.

Hours of work – Friday 10am – 4pm, Tuesday 1:30 – 5:30

BACP accreditation, plus at least a Level 4 Diploma in Counselling is required, whilst a Level 5 Young Person’s qualification and/or Level 6 Supervision qualification would be desirable. Specific experience of working with clients with neurodiversity, trauma and from the LQBTQ community would be beneficial. The post holder for this role will be required to provide their own supervision which meets the BACP standards; hold relevant insurance and complete an enhanced DBS check
