The Autism Provision at Weston College leads the field and is pro-active in informing the sector, sharing good practice and developing inclusive provision for all learners. This specialist support provision is extended across all the teaching campuses at Weston College including Knightstone, South West Skills, Loxton, HALC and Weston Bay and Birnbeck- the college’s residential training centres.
Our aim is to provide specialist programmes which support learners to understand how their autism may impact on their learning and how they can work with specialist support teams to access a curriculum which addresses their individual needs, aspirations and vocational focus.
The post holder will deliver specialist support programmes for learners who are undertaking a range of courses at FE and HE level. External and internal collaboration with curriculum staff, personal tutors, assessors, job coaches and employers is critical in enabling learners to overcome their barriers, develop their independence and achieve sustainable progression.
When you join the team at Weston College, you will be joining a multi-award-winning organisation which is one of the fasted growing colleges in the UK.
