Student Experience Administrator

37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

£18,655- £20,826 per annum

An opportunity exists for a highly organised administrator to supply administrative support to the Student Support staff. Student Support provides the support learners need to be successful on their college course and includes the provision of additional support for learners with difficulties and/or disabilities; learner engagement; learner mentoring; careers and progression help. The role also supports the safeguarding team.

The role will involve all the planning and administration for over 100 EHCPs reviews across the year, checking and submitting pay claims for hourly paid staff, ordering specialist equipment needed for learners and staff, liaising with external agencies and local schools regarding learners with additional needs, managing the appointment system for the specialist assessor and liaising with exams department to make sure arrangements are in place, together with general office administration tasks. The role also includes maintaining the safeguarding database and ideally the candidate would be happy to undertake safeguarding training. The role supports the Transition Manager and Assistant Principal for Foundation Learning and Student Voice and their departments and so requires flexibility and the ability to work with students and staff across the college is key.

It is an extremely varied role, demanding a good general education and a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Access. Previous knowledge in an office environment providing administration is a must, as is a desire to work with learners, especially those with additional needs. A background in education would be useful, although not essential.
