An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dedicated construction team at City College Southampton.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Construction department and work within our Carpentry & Joinery team. Within this role you will teach on a variety of courses and will be contributing to the on-going development of this fast-growing curriculum.
We are looking for an experienced, qualified carpenter and joiner with an interest in working with young people to improve these skills.
The successful candidate will; undertake complete an initial assessment of learners, carry out reviews as well as provide instruction, guidance and support to learners and assess candidates' performance against agreed standards.
You will be willing to work toward gaining a qualification in teaching and assessing. You will also have recent relevant commercial or industrial experience within the occupational area and experience of coordinating competence-based programmes and liaising with work-based providers/employers. The salary offered is up to £32,246, plus pension, 39 days annual leave and statutory bank holidays. The salary is dependent on experience and negotiable for the right candidate.
