Permanent post based at Sketty Hall Business School
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the College for a Tutor/Assessor within our Accountancy Apprenticeships provision (AAT Levels 2-4) at our Sketty Hall Business School campus.
With a professional approach you will have current knowledge of the relevant framework and the ability to deliver AAT qualifications at all levels relevant to the apprenticeship programme is desirable. Ideally you will also be familiar with the administrative requirements of the apprenticeship programmes and have a proven track record of delivering/assessing NVQs to learners.
You will work with external customers in industry to meet their needs and assist Internal Quality Assurance processes in ensuring that all requirements of the External Verifier and awarding bodies are met.
You will ideally possess a level 4 qualification or equivalent in Accounting and hold or be willing to work towards the A1 Assessor/V1 Internal Verifiers award. Level 2 (Grade A-C) or equivalent Maths and English qualification is essential for this post. If required; a commitment to undertake a Teacher training qualification is essential for this post. In addition, further training opportunities can be provided for successful candidates who wish to continue their own Accountancy qualifications.
With excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong ILT skills you will have ability to motivate, inspire and transfer knowledge to the learner. With attention to detail you will be target driven with a strong focus on quality.
This post has been deemed Welsh Essential at Level 1 (see Welsh Language Level Descriptors attached to job description) however we would also be interested in candidates who are not at this level but would be willing to work towards it.
