An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Work Skills Co-ordinator to transform the lives of students with additional learning needs in the Department of Learning for Living & Work. You will have the confidence and skills to liaise with employers, to seek out work-placement opportunities for students in the department, including those on a Supported Internship programme.

You will also be required to organise and monitor internal work placement opportunities for students with SEND. You will be responsible for organising the logistics for the work placement or work experience and ensure that the necessary health, safety and safeguarding procedures are in place.

Your duties will also include the monitoring and reviewing of learners on and off site that are undertaking work placements. In addition to this, it is expected that you will positively promote the college and specifically the Supported Internship programme. To co-ordinate effective job coach support, liaise with the local authority and ESV service and line mange our Works Skills Facilitator.
